Meet Hearty Sauces: Big Flavor, Without the Ingredient Guesswork
When an AIP coach and self-described “condiment person” couldn’t find the sauces and seasonings she wanted, she decided to make them herself.
Following a specialized diet can make the simplest question surprisingly complicated:
What am I going to put on this?
For the founder of Hearty Sauces, that question came up a lot. After dealing with skin issues and reactions to nightshades and dairy, she turned to the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP). In 2017, she also became an AIP-certified coach.
She knew firsthand just how specific AIP elimination could be, especially when it came to adding flavor. And there was one other important factor:
“I’m a condiment person!”
When the sauce aisle doesn't have what you need
Sauces, dressings and seasoning blends can be tricky on AIP. Often, the solution is making things yourself, which can mean buying a long list of ingredients, using a tiny amount of each and watching the rest sit in your pantry for months.
Eventually, she started making her own blends.
The idea behind Hearty Sauces was simple: make it easier to add great flavor to everyday meals with ingredients she could trust. Today, every Hearty Sauces product is designed to be AIP elimination compliant and can continue to be used during reintroduction. They're made without nightshades, nuts, dairy, soy or preservatives and, according to the brand, are allergen-free.
Another detail you might not know? The ingredients are organic, even though the products aren't certified organic. As a one-woman operation, the certification process is currently too expensive and time-intensive, so she's chosen to put those resources into the products themselves.
Where to start? Lemon Vinaigrette.
Ask which Hearty Sauces product someone should try first, and she doesn't hesitate: Lemon Vinaigrette. It's her personal favorite because it goes just about anywhere. She uses it as a marinade for salmon and chicken, while Herb Balsamic is a favorite with beef. Taco Seasoning works with ground meats and slow-cooked dishes.
And Ranch?
“Ranch on EVERYTHING because it's Ranch and it's delicious!”
Fair enough.
A one-woman operation with a simple goal
Next up, she's experimenting with Greek dressing mix and Italian seasoning, with hopes of launching both in 2027. She's even expanded beyond the pantry with Hearty Skin Sauce, a lotion made without added scents or allergens.
But behind everything is the same idea that inspired Hearty Sauces in the first place:
“I want anyone to be able to have access to healthy flavors that won't hurt the gut or the budget.”
That's a mission that feels right at home at Fully Healthy. Because specialized diets already give you plenty to think about. Finding something delicious to put on dinner shouldn't have to be one more thing.
