1 . IN THE REFRIGERATOR: Since we steer clear of chemical preservatives and overly-processed ingredients, refrigeration is key to maintaining the best freshness and flavor of COYOTAS tortillas. Once you receive your tortillas, make sure to keep them in the refrigerator. This will extend their shelf life, and they'll remain fresh for up to 15 days.

2. IN THE FREEZER: If you want to keep COYOTAS tortillas for a longer period, freezing is a great option. They can be frozen for up to 3 months without any compromise in quality. They don’t stick together.

3. DURING TRANSIT :In some cases, the tortillas might warm up during transit(especially during the summer).Rest assured that they are safe to consume. Coyotas founder Janet Flores Pavlovich grew up in Hermosillo, Sonora—the birthplace of the flour tortilla. After working as a chef in both Mexico and the U.S., she returned home and rediscovered the beauty and simplicity of her region’s iconic tortilla.

MADE IN CALIFORNIA

Janet didn’t just want to recreate the tortillas she grew up with—she wanted to make something new. After countless tries, she created a tortilla with just four ingredients and no grains, gluten, or gums. Today, our team of artisans handcrafts Coyotas in small batches at our own facility in Southern California.

1.THAWING: If frozen, allow our tortillas to thaw in the refrigerator before use. This maintains their original texture and flavor.

2.WARMING:Gently warm the tortillas to enhance their flexibility and taste. You can usea skillet pan,cast iron comal, stovetop burner,microwave, or oven for this.As a general rule, the tortillas only require a few seconds of heating on each side at the proper temperature. We love to pile our warm tortillas into a tortillero or to wrap them in a clean kitchen towel until they're ready to fill.

3.FILLING:Once warmed, fill the tortillas with your preferred ingredients. They're versatile and suitable for a wide range of dishes, from tacos and quesadillas to wraps and taquitos.
