IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:

#aipmindset – The first week of January many AIP bloggers got together and shared what #AIPmindset means to them. Creating awareness that our thoughts, emotions, and stress have an impact on symptoms (sometimes bringing on a flare). Also sharing theirfavorite mind-body techniques!

NEW COOKBOOKS:

The Global Paleo AIP Kitchen – Have you seen the newest community collaboration cookbook? This culinary passport was edited by Bethany from Adventures in Partaking and celebrates flavors from around the world.

The Nutrient Dense Kitchen – Mickey has set aside a LIMITED number of books for pre-order and is giving away some awesome bonuses. People who pre-order get a signed copy of the book, access to her private Facebook group, and pre-release recipe sneak peeks (all super tasty). This cookbook will be completely elimination stage compliant and has notes for those needing other specific modifications. It also includes shopping lists and meal plans for time and sanity saving!

NEW PODCASTS:

Episode 113 Healing Stories #6 – There’s something wonderful about listening to people share their personal story and healing journey. In this podcast episode, Eileen chats with four individuals about how they reclaimed their health.

Emotional Autoimmunity Podcast Episode 4 – Kerry recently interviewed Wendi Washington-Hunt about how Hashimoto’s changed her life and how she’s learning to nurture herself and quiet the critic in her head.

RETREAT WEEKEND:

Journey In – This is an amazing connection opportunity. Kari Owens is running a weekend retreat on the stunningly serene Orcas Island in Washington state. “With yoga, mindfulness, and self-care sessions, this is a time for self-reflection and personal growth.” Lodging, sessions, nature exploration… and yes, food! Meals are all gluten-free with AIP options available.

The State of AIP 2019 – I’m glad Angie’s continuing these yearly community posts. It’s a great way to see all that’s happened (2018 was huge!) and what to look forward to in our community.

Paleo for Babies & Toddlers – As a parent who chooses to nourish her kids within a paleo framework, I appreciate posts like this one. Sarah talks about macronutrients kids need, first foods, and so much more!

5 Year Anniversary on the AIP – Yael recently celebrated her fifth year of healing and shares how it all started for her, opens up about some emotional times along the way, and where she is at now. All things considered Yael says, “It is worth it.”

Why Keeping a Food Journal Can Accelerate Healing – Kate from Healing Family Eats shares the importance of a well-kept food journal. She outlines how to use the journal, what to track, and shares a template! Kate advises, “It is important to be brutally honest when you write your journal, even though you may have feelings of guilt or remorse.”

Sunrise Beef Hash – Loaded with veggies, this skillet is full of flavor and nutrients. Jaime finishes everything off with a touch of lemon juice.
