November 2018 AIP Talk with ShopAIP

ShopAIP Bog is a great resource for the latest articles, research, blog posts, podcasts, books, products and more related to the anti-inflammatory paleo autoimmune protocol (AIP) diet.

Some links in this post are affiliate links. That simply means I may receive a small commission (at no extra cost to you) if you purchase an item mentioned through the link.

Each month I’ll be featuring the latest happenings in our AIP community and sharing here! You’ll be able to get your favorite AIP staples and keep in the loop in one place.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:

#aipformentalhealth – The week of November 5th, many AIP bloggers got together and spoke up about their experiences with mental health and how the autoimmune protocol played a part in their journey. It's beyond time to break the stigma that surrounds mental health diagnoses, depression, and anxiety.

NEW BOOK:

The Nutrient Dense Kitchen – Mickey Trescott is self-publishing again! She has set aside a LIMITED number of books for pre-order and is giving away some awesome bonuses, too! Folks who pre-order get a signed copy of the book, access to her private FB group, and pre-release recipe sneak peeks. This cookbook will be completely elimination stage compliant and has notes for those needing modifications for coconut-free, low-FODMAP, keto, and low carb AND it includes shopping lists and meal plans. Don't miss out on this pre-order opportunity!

PODCASTS:

Trauma & Autoimmunity with Dr. Maureen Pierce – In episode 108 of The Phoenix Helix Podcast, Eileen and her guest discuss the connection between autoimmune disease, chronic illness, and trauma - as well as treatments available to help rebuild health resilience.

Alopecia & AIP for Kids – In the most recent podcast episode of The Paleo View, Sarah and Stacey talk about transitioning to the autoimmune protocol as smoothly as possible, specifically when it's for a child. In this case, a reader's young daughter recently received the diagnosis of alopecia.

MUST-READ BLOG POSTS:

I Can't Try AIP Because I Am A Perfectionist – I absolutely love Angie's real talk posts and this is one that had me nodding along while I read. If you find yourself stuck (perfectionist paralysis) and unable to take the plunge with starting the AIP, this post was written for YOU.

You Are Not a Failure – Eileen recently wrote a post that shared a vulnerable quality I think resonates with many. How many times has your inner voice used the F(ail) word?

All The New AIP Books – The AIP community has grown so much over the years and with that comes new resources! In this post, Sarah covers the newest books and cookbooks from leaders in the community.

FEATURED RECIPES:

Ginger Turkey Burger Salad – I prefer to enjoy my burgers with a fork and knife, loaded on a salad. This is burger salad is especially tasty with drizzle of KC Natural Imitation Mustard.

Crispy Sardine Cakes – Jaime created this recipe for all the sardine haters out there! These crispy cakes are loaded with nutrient-rich sardines and tasty kalamata olives. Sounds like a winning combo to me!
